Mike McCool from Cat's Pajamas was a friend of Eddie Sanchez's from Jax, all the Cat's PJs guys were jazz band players from high school, as I recall. McCool was kind of egotistical but was a good guitarist and wrote most of the material which was jazzy, ambitious pop-rock -- definitely one of the better obscure G'ville bands, if you ask me.
