Frankly, they --- like Big White Undies several years before them -- seriously, perhaps fatally erred in dispensing with a key member. "Yeah, that was a giant mistake," says the irrepresible Mr. Don Undeen"Let's throw out our hot chick member Adrienne Young." OK, so Chad King's not a Hot Chick...but still, he licks pussy. Plus, Adrienne Young takes it in the ass --- which is where the scene AND Dirty Poodle took it when Chad was excised.
Also, you can't compare Dirty Poodle to BWU...BWU was far superior in terms of both composition and vocal execution. Not that BWU cares because they're all famous with My Friend Steve now...
Dirty Poodle is my favorite band. I just listened to an old four track from the haunted house in melbourne Fl, that they did with Goddesfeld a long time ago. Big White Undies sucked fuck compared to the Poodle.

I remember dirty poodle from melbourne when they played at the lazy bean and the hustler bar. it was just scott dan and the drummer from red soda(bill?) they rocked hard. they were much more reserved the last time I saw them at the covred dish with the causey way. I used to jam with scott and dan, in melbourne, when they were in between drummers. we would play the themes from Knight rider and fraggle rock. i also remember playing the chain by fleetwood mac. there was also one time at the cement factory when Jesus Breath played in titusville. it was a combined effort of scott, dan, brett havery, otis cleveland, and me. Brett, otis, and i were in harry j. anslinger(the band.) i wish i had the recording of it. some where i have some of it (about 1/3). I miss those days......
Who the fuck cares about BWU?!! They're long, long dead and gone!! Dirty Poodle is alive and well! Five, ten, however many years ago they were around... IT'S OVER!!! Scott and Dan are the two most endearing and genuinely talented musicians I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

Dirty Poodle ,before I played with them, was a huge inspiration for my love of mellow music. to this day I still put on my old four track recordings from the Melbourne house and dig it intently.. Hopefully they will play with Hula real soon....

Dirty Poodle will always be my favorite G-ville band. I loved it whenever the Chairs would play shows with them. One of the best live shows I've ever seen was Dirty Poodle at the Covered Dish. Memories of them are spots of warm sunshine... blue glass worn into smooth ocean treasures. Also, Many thanks to Scott for The Roches did in fact make me cry.
