Not a completely original concept, the Organelles had a constantly rotating line-up. Whoever happened to be in Steve's living room at the time participated. Steve was (still is) the nucleus of the Organelle, as he was (still is) the guy with all the equipment and a refrigerator with beer. He also writes great songs--all about beer or a woman. At one point, the Organelles drummer was a 5 year old, who sang songs about the animals at the zoo. The Organelles played 3 or 4 times at the Covered Dish, usually as a last minute substitute band. Once the Organelles played at the Dish with Rich and Joey from Whore Culture. They got into a fight onstage. That was the only show for the Whorganelles. Oli and Steve played 3 songs at a cabaret in Liege Belgium. The crowd was perplexed. Organelles put out a 6 song 7" on Training Bra Records in 1996 (I think). The vinyl was white, with a yellow label, in order to look like a fried egg on the turntable.

I still have a couple boxes of the aforementioned egg-like 7" available. Send me an email if you'd like one, gratis! Training Bra records is on hold indefinitely until the reformed Organelles the long overdue, retrospective Green Death: The Anthology can be assembled. With bonus tracks!
