How could you forget the greatest, coolest, radest (i'm not totally sure that's a word) person in the whole world?????
Or one of the coolest bands to come from Gainesville and who played at the Covered Dish????
I'm talking about Mr. Bill Bryson and the band The Causey Way!!!!!!!!

BEFORE IT WAS THE DISH, IT WAS A COUNTRY BAR CALLED THE FEED STORE. LOTS OF FIGHTS
About four and a half years ago, I convinced a girl from work to meet me at the Dish for a Usuals show for the non-threatening crowd psuedo date. We got married 3 weeks ago. The city was never the same after it closed down.
god i fuckin miss this place

I saw the back door sat the covered dish back in 1998. It was a greta show, and the spirit of Jim and the Doors wwas there that night. I'll nevr forget it.
The Covered Dish was a staple of my friends and I during our UF years in the 90's. Just a great club featuring all the cool bands of G'ville. My favorites were Noah's Red Tattoo and Slack Season. They played there regularly and always drew big crowds. I once rememeber going to a show one January when it was freezing. The kids were lined up around the block to see Noah's Red Tattoo, I waited in the cold and it was well worth it. NRT rocked and the crowd was wild.Great G'ville rock n' roll memories.

The old Covered Dish is now the location for the new Common Grounds. All hail!
