I recently described Boogerhead to someone as a "black hole in Gainesville band history." We only played in a warehouse (the Butter The Heifer warehouse out by the intersection of 34th Street and 441), only rehearsed a half-dozen times, and were so uniformly and consistently drunk that I don't think any of us recall more than scattered snatches (there's a band name, if anybody needs one) of what we did.
The objective was to be the heaviest G'ville band ever. The songs never got worked out sufficiently to met that goal. I recall playing guitar once for a half-assed attempt at Rush's instrumental opus "La Villa Strangiato" with John on bass, and (I think) no one else playing anything. I remember once Russ had a half-full bottle of Lord Calvert fall off the top of his Marshall amp, due to vibrations, and he was damn unhappy about it. I remember writing some stupid song lyrics (did I ever write any other kind?) called "Eat the Puppies" and not being happy with them.
That's about all I remember.
