FUTON was the band (and the sleeping configurement) which changed my life in the earliest 90's. I can remember sneaking over to 8th street to eavesdrop on Rusty and the boys practicing and finding herds of skaters milling about zombie-like next-door, at THE HELL HOUSE. THE HELL HOUSE SHOULD NOT BE confused with the DANGER HOUSE, WHICH, AS EVERYONE NOW KNOWS,WAS NOT TRULY DANGEROUS. At the "Danger House," one's greatest concern was that some earnest misfit would enjoin you to serially view Dr. Who reruns. Weasel? Kevin? Rory?

YEAH! YOUR TOTALLY RIGHT! THE DANGER HOUSE WAS FULL OF NERDS.
AND THE HELL HOUSE WAS... WELL... ALOT LIKE HELL.
REMEMBER THE DOG (RUTGER)? IF HE DIDN'T KNOW YOU, YOU WERE TOAST. I LIVED IN THE HELL HOUSE FOR MORE THAN A YEAR AND HAVE THE SCARS TO PROVE IT! (MY RENT WAS LIKE 50 BUCKS)

A little known tidbit: Before it was the Hell House it was a FUTON store.
