Well, Here we are in Brooklyn, NYC, recording on Jorge's latest, as-of-yet unnamed album. Produced by Chad King, it's being mixed by Pete Fan, who grew up with Ween. Time is short but we're crankin' out the hits, though at this very moment relaxing after a day of recording and a night out on the town. Jorge performed in Jesse Gelaznic directorial debut, "Scatopia" tonight, And Don Undeen was spanked hard by a gay cuban while Crystal Baker sang "Bobby McGee" acapella. Then Angela Dipaolo played violin while Alysia (Jorge Navarro's roomate and subject of song AND ex-gainesvillian) danced. Gainesville people take that kind of behaviour wherever they go, believe me. Currently nursing my wounds and listening to Billie Holiday in a most beautiful loft apartment in Brooklyn, with slick shiney wood floors. From the roof you can see all of Manhattan. It's raining tonight. Crystal Baker is moving from Indiana to Tuscan Arizona to make music with Angela DiPaolo. I'm (Don Undeen) moving from Ft Lauderdale to go back to Gainesville to do God knows what.

Jorge was my 10th grade English teacher('92-'93). He was the BEST - to this day everyone he taught still talks about him all the time and what he meant to us. He left a huge impression. I remember he brought his guitar in one time, went to the back of the room, and played a few different little riffs and told us to write whatever they made us think of. Another thing that I remember is how he told us we could pass 2 different ways - going the low road or going the high road. For some reason, I still try to go the high road in most cases. Anyways, in case you read this Jorge - YOU ROCK!!! I am glad that you are still playing. If you ever play in G-ville or in New Orleans again let me know (Still live in Florida but I'm in New Orleans alot-my sister goes to Tulane, lives on St. Charles, Uptown) Email me sometime, let me know how the music thing is going. Oh yeah - Thanks for everything.

hi everyone,
my name is Gloria glynn and My cousin is Jorge Navarro. I have known him all my life and I must say he has always been a very talented person with a lot of deep and sincere feelings. Although we fought a lot as kids, we stayed in touch in our adult. I am a psychic, and always felt that Jorge would be famous one day. He knew the late actor River Phoenix and I wanted to meet him, but unfortunately he died before that could happen. I have since had dreams about River telling me to tell Jorge he is in a good place and says hello. For ten years I have felt River's spirit near me, even when I thought my cousin would not make it, I prayed for his success and It looks like all good things come to those who wait. If you want my cousin's phone number feel free to e-mail me and / or call me at 813-910-2795.
thanks
gloria glynn

The first time that I saw Jorge perform I was hooked. It was about 8-9 years ago in G-ville at The Sidebar. He was wearing a wife beater and a huge yellow cheese hat. (I just assumed he was a Packers fan.) Now, I'm a rythm junkie and Jorge is ever talented at passionately pounding out a make-you-wanna-holla-toe-tappin-grind. He's a great songwriter, makes tales of gossip that sizzle and pop, is a real good kisser, and I really wish that I had a copy of the April 2001 "lost at sea" recording that I WORKED REALLY HARD ON and that I'VE NEVER EVEN HEARD to date.
JORGE, If you think that I sucked on the project than grow some balls and tell me so. I just want a fuckin copy.
You know, I'm actually used to getting paid for recording projects these days. It's funny. Kind've works like this-
1.Negotiate a contract (royalties,songwriting percentages, etc..)
2.Go in and lay down some tracks.
3. Collect check for a 2-3 hour job for an amount that in the "real world" would take me about a week to earn.
4. RECIEVE 3 or 4 COPIES OF THE PROJECT
5. PLEASE NOTE #4
I WOULD BE SSOOOOO VERY HAPPY WITH JUST ONE COPY. I hope that you feel sufficient guilt.
On a more upbeat note: I hope that you are doing well. I have the fondest memories of working with you in NYC. That was an awesome show that we put on at The Sidewalk Cafe!
Ok My last and final plea: If you send me a copy of the April 2001 "lost at sea" project, I will send you not one, but two cd's of my latest stuff. I'm currently recording a new cd and I have an awesome live one that I did in 2002. I will send them both to you in exchange for a copy of the "lost at sea" project.
Best Regards,
Crystal Dawn Bryant
