It's such a crying fucking shame that people are more interested in living in the past (hence all the "reunion" tours that are plaguing the music industry), than living in the present. Roach Motel was "OK" in their brief time as a going concern, but that's it. They were never great. The idea of some mediocre band doing a "reunion tour" so people can relive their long lost youth is sad. It was the TIME that was great, the EXPERIENCE. Move on and try to produce something new and fresh. Create rather than resurrect.

Take a Midol "Heywood." It was a fun night. The fact that Roach Motel played again is not mutually exclusive to it's members doing new stuff, nor indicative of anyone being "more interested in living in the past" than the present. Most of them are in new bands and continuing to create new music.

On the contrary ann, roach motel's reunion tour/show is a sad comment. Punk itself has been bought and sold a million times already. It's revolutionary vitality died long ago, and exists only so that lard assed old ex-punks and burnouts can relive the "good old daze".
