What I'm about to write,is for selfish reasons. It was early winter 1997, and I was living in a little town(in Florida),known as Margate. I had just started seeing a girl named Michelle, and she somehow had a cd of the band Verna Sol. She told me that Oren was a close personal friend. I asked her if I could barrow it, she said yes, and for the next two months, I almost listened to that cd exclusively! Me and Michelle, didn't make it as a couple. But, the one GREAT thing that came out of my experience of knowing her. Was the fact that she exposed me to a voice unlike no other I've ever heard, prior, or since!!! And the fact that Oren Oami(and that band), DID NOT "Make it", is one of the most unbelievable tragedies in modern music history! p.s.
