Faster Than Flash was formed in 1996 by Matt Tilman and Rob Bischoff. Influenced by many '60's and '70's british bands, the original band played many Gainesville area clubs such as Covered Dish, Richenbachers, Brick City Music Hall, and Florida theater.The original line up was strictly an all original band and recorded their self titled album in '96.After graduating in '96 Guitarist Matt Tilman and drummerBob mcdonald left the Gainesville area. Vocalist/Guitarist Rob Bischoff had a brief stint in a few local bands, but reformed Faster Than Flash in '99. The current line up has one of the busiest playing schedules in north florida and has opened for bands like Molly Hatchet, Georgia Satellites, Earl Thomas Conally, Black Oak Arkansas and many more. The band has recorded two self produced cd's and continues to play all over florida and Georgia.
