So many things to love about Naomi's Hair. The drummer smiled crazily through every set. The singer's teeth. The fact that if they had been named Cracker, they could have been huge. The amazing lyrics to "Without a Sound." Two shows are forever stuck in my mind. the first a sweaty summer show at the Hardback (91?). That sweaty pit and lots of people knew every word; I had never heard them before. So energetic and on. Next time at one of those $5 all you can drink Wednesdays at Market Street. The CD is still relevant and never gets played out. "To the Beggarweeds!" is a great shout out song. "This Song" is great. Anyway--maybe this will get a better writer to wax further.

This was one of my favorite local bands when I was younger. I still have certain songs that run through my head on repeat for the past 13+ years. I was actually doing a search just trying to find out where I can get a few of their CDs. They were wonderful and I imagine, if they are still together, they are just as wonderful. It is rather amusing because there is a FooFighter song out there that at the end of the song has a strange resemblance to a particular Naomi?s Hair song. Really makes me want to pop in that damn Naomi?s Hair CD. Unfortunately I have lost their CDs and many others in all of my moves. Well, I hope if anyone out there reads this they can inform me of where to get my hands on one or more of their CDs. Rhiannon

Naomi's Hair is what made me want to be in a band! I was in a band in the Orlando music scene back in the early 90's...I was really sad to see them break up. Brilliant...Naomi's Hair was just BRILLIANT!!!

Naomi's Hair was great, listening to their CD right now! First found out about them via the drummer for Mother Saul's Kitchen, a Gainesville area bad of the same time period. Anyone remember Mother Saul's Kitchen?
