This was a very good band. I thought this before I joined them on bass and after I quit, even if it seems I must say so myself. Paul S. can play the goddamn blues. No one, I hope, needs me to tell them what a great songwriter Tammy James was. All gone winging its way to outer space. I remember the night Ivan called to tell me Tammy was dead I picked up the bass and played "Can I Borrow $200?" and was surprised it was still engrained in my finger memory. I will always be glad to be able to remember staring sideways at Sara as she spit out the phrase "A Refrigerator car full of Idaho spuds" and shook those cowboy boots. Yes, let this website become a home for maudlin reminiscenses of those missing their third childhoods and their dead friends and their wasted youths. It's a perfectly legitimate social/historical function.
