Ciwan Haco was born in the year 1957 in T?rbespiye-a village near the city of Qamislo. He is a descendant of a prominent Kurdish family, Haco Agha, from district of Mardin. Following the suppression of Shaikh Said rebellion in 1925, due to exile policies imposed by the Turkish Government, his family left Mardin and settled in Syria, near the city of Qamislo. M?hemed Shaikho, M?radko, Garapeto Haco were canons of authentic Kurdish music which was performed by degbejs saying klams. Their influence was crucial on Ciwan Haco's musical work. Haco was also heavily inspired from his father and sister who were traditional singers. He synthesized traditional folk music with western forms and style, giving way to emergence of a how manner in Kurdish music. This stand can be included within the domains of ethno-jazz, pop folk, or blues. Ciwan Haco is living in Sweden and has produced ten albums up to now. In various parts of Europe, he has held many concerts in which majority of audiences were composed of youngsters. He has two beautiful children with his wife from Norway.
