If you listen closely, to "Hey! Jackie" on the Skanarchy CD from Elevator Music, @ 0:22 seconds, you just may hear the trumpet blast out a note that should have been left under a bowl of warm butterscotch pudding. Also, I believe there were originally two guitars played during that particular recording. I only hear one in the mix.

One time, we played the Student Union building at UCONN. In the auditorium we were in, they used hand stamps for the people that had payed to get in. It was the kind you could only see in the presence of a black light. I took the stamp pad and proceded to stamp around my mouth and lips. (I know, not the most hygeinic thing to do.) From then on, when someone would see me and my glowing mouth, I told them "Its milk." It doesn't seem as funny now. But shoosh! It sure was funny that night.

Has anyone ever wondered how the name "JC Superska" came about? Well, the band had been through several names before I had gotten involved. The latest of which was The Automatics. (I still like that one.) But, that name we had found was taken. So we had to keep thinking of something else. Around the same time, Brian and Ken were trying to set up a show with Mephiskapheles. I'm not sure who thought of it, but the reference to Jesus Christ Superstar and the whole good vs. bad thing was what had conviced them to play a show with us.

We played a lot of shows at the Tune Inn. And a great many of those shows we played with Spring Heeled Jack. Dave Karcich, the drummer, brought his girlfriend to most of the shows. Whenever they (the band) were playing or busy with whatever, I would take off with her. We'd go to get something to eat or go for a walk through New Haven.

I'll never forget the energy at Tune Inn when JC would play. Everyone was dancing....JC is so missed....
