I bought the Blacktop Cadence CD "Chemistry For Changing Times" solely because of the membership connection they have with Hot Water Music (who has been my favorite band since junior high). My first thoughts after listening to it was like "wow, that was emo." It was like Chris Wollard was sick of people not being able to make up their minds whether they wanted to call Hot Water Music punk or emo or hardcore or whatever, and Wollard is like "dude Hot Water is not emo.. we can do emo, see THIS is emo dammit." I love the Blacktop cd because it's like you get to see a whole new side of the musicians you thought you knew so well.
