The world needs more Ivan.Dont forget that Ivan,if I remember correctly, was like the only guy to get kicked out of Broken Talent.Dont qoute me.I think he played with them for some shows or something.I believe he told me this.I remember very little (Can anyone tell me what I was doing during the early 90's to about 1994?Im not kidding).Go seek out the Chinese Restaraunts tape(somebody send me a copy!!!) as well as the Lethal Yellow-7".The Chinese Restaraunts were from Miami. I saw them I think twice and they were pretty amazing. "You will all be Impaled" should have been like a punk rock classic.I have always wanted to cover it.

I'm not sure if this pertains, or if this is even the same fellow, but I have a drawing of four apparent musicians that is signed by "Ivan Osorio" as the artist. This piece also reads "Glee Club" "University of Notre Dame" and is signed by 32 people. Glee Club members, I assume. I like the drawing but am curious about the artist. Who is Ivan Osorio?

In reply to Jessica: http://www.gainesvillebandfamilytree.com/article.php?TYPE=musician&ID=791 I've quasi-identified four Ivan Osorios, but two may be the same guy. We can eliminate the epilepsy doctor at the University of Kansas, who seems like a great fellow and all, but doesn't seem to have a musical connection (OK, he's participated in research tying epilepsy and certain responses to music, but that?s as far as I tracked him down). Next is Ivan Osorio who writes political commentary in Washington, D.C. Didn't get too far there, although the gentleman publishes quite a lot. Then we have the semi-anonymous musician referenced here, who I know nothing about except there are some stray references to the Miami area. This may mean he's the same guy I describe next. Finally, we have Notre Dame Architecture graduate Ivan Osorio, who was renowned at Notre Dame for his caricatures, most notably his covers for "Scholastic" magazine at ND (late 50s early 60s, I?d guess). It appears this Mr. Osorio is based in Miami, running an outfit called "Americonsult." Given that the firm advertises graphic arts, printing, advertising & marketing, I'd guess this is the artist who did the ND Glee Club caricature you possess. I have one on the wall next to my desk at home. It was always given to Glee Club members as they graduated, signed by the guys they sang with, and often given to people who helped out the Glee Club on tour (sponsoring a concert or something). They used to be given out framed, but I think the Glee Club has started to cheap out on this now. Some references to your Mr. Osorio: http://alumni.nd.edu/~alumpubs/alumstories2.html http://www.bellairsia.com/southbend/escape-commentary-c.html You can tell that the caricature is from a bygone day because one of the singers has a cigarette in his left hand. I'd be very interested, Jessica, in knowing the signatures (the legible ones at least) on your ND Glee Club caricature. I still sing and keep in touch with the Notre Dame Glee Club, and probably know some of the gentlemen who signed your caricature. Jerry Parshall
