Jahna Balk (aka Rain)'s history that I know of is very long but I can only comment on the part I was involved in. I joined a band called the Innuendos which was her and me (on bass) and a drummer named Joe Fusco. It turned out to be a terrific band that played frequently in New York ( The Continental, the Baby Jupiter, Nightingales and the Charleston) in the last half of 1999. She is a great guitar player, which is her real strength. She is also a killer singer. But I still admire the solos she played on songs that I wrote - I can't even come close to her skill on those. After the Innuendos (which for a short time also included Morning Shakes drummer Scott Dennis and Shunpike bassist Sara Essex) Jahna started a band called the Demands. I hope the reason she is not otherwise much represented in this db is because she owes someone money. She currently lives in Panama.
