I have no idea what band I played in with Doug in Gainesville. It was in the Sun Center, what seemed to be like a basement. You had to ring a bell to be let in. I'm not sure how exclusive it actually was. I did a few weekends with the group. It was more or less a pop gig with some standards thrown in there. The guitarist was incredible. He had a Bill Frisell Klein guitar. The vocalist was cool with a bit if a show vibe. I don't know what Doug's been up to. Word has it he was doing a lounge gig on Royal Caribbean for a while. Before that I had played with him in a production orchestra on Carnival Cruise Lines. If you're out there man, give me a call (904)616-1222.
