I've seen this guy play in a couple of his bands and I thought that he stole the show. With a great musical sense and fantastic stage presence, Travis really could get a crowd into a frenzy- he really has talent for show biz. He's a Gainesville Icon and when he played that white Rick with all of those lights on it, in the Dish that night, when the Dish obliged and had the lights off to heighten the affect, it was really the most beautiful sight-

I had the please of seeing Travis play with Subrosa in 1999 in Atlanta. One of the greatest song writers ever!!! I talked to him after the show and he was a very nice guy. I wish I'd hear more music from him on the radio.

I met Travis Tooke briefly at strawberry hill near richmond. We came to see him and his band subrosa. They were on tour with the rugburns..that singer for that band was insane... We had been fans of his band for squirrels. The cd example was a very important part of our lives. We got layed to it...we cried to it...we definetly partied to it...those were the best days of my life...Travis tooke stared off in the distance when I shook his hand...for a second he focused on me...I told him in no uncertain terms..." We love you"...for surviving that crash that killed your friends...for being real...for being our hero...I bought a cd copy of baypath road for two hundred dollars...money well spent...If you ever read this Travis I will never forget you...even if I only had a second or two too tell you what your music meant to me....I hope Jacks back is okay....

When I first heard of For Squirrels I was riding in my car on my way to school. Most of you know that song was "Mighty K.C.", and yes it was a while back. The following day I bought the cd with no delay, and I became a instant fan. Then in 1997, Subrosa debut there album. I don't need to bore you by mentioning how inspirational there music is 'cause you guys already know. I got the chance to meet the band on two occasions. Their Ft. Lauderdale show and their West Palm show. When I had a brief chat with Travis, he was still full of energy after the show, and I was full of lager. I said my thanks, shook hands and walked away with a girly grin. The second show was held in a smaller venue, and I believe the band Amanda Green was there also. After the show I nervously told Travis how we met a few months prior and he handed me a pic he used in the show. I was speechless, couldn't say a word that made any sense.

please help: i'm trying to reach travis tooke. he played in for squirrels, among other bands. if i have the right travis, and i think i do, he attended west point for about ten days in 1990. he was my roommate before deciding to resign. i would like to interview him for a book i am writing about cadets who, for whatever reason, attended, but did not graduate, from west point. thanks so much for pointing me in the right direction, - brent wagner brewagner@hotmail.com 720-865-2411
