Here I am live and wasted on a shitt keyboard in New Orleans, in the warehouse district, in the Museum of modern art, just around the corner from The Mermaid Lounge, where I'm gonna be playing tonight with Hialeah Jorge.
Wee. this keyboard sucks and I'm a little tipsy (you can drink anywhere in this City-- Yay debauchery!) I made this site. I hope everyone likes it. If not, you can bite me.

I hope everyone loves the new domain. Right now I'm just testing this feature, to see that the database works. Here goess...

Way to go Don Undeen. Your site is great...guess the database worked. Hope you had fun in New Orleans...I'm a Gainesvillian musician stuck in the mud of Gautier, Mississippi at the moment--not too far from New Orleans. Just added lots of Gainesville Bands to the site (original 1960s Riff not 1980s The Riff, The Sundowners, Axe, Mudcrutch, Power, Split Enz, Celebration, Dingo Fish Band, and a few others). Some were voted "Gainesville's Top 20 Bands" (see article in Gainesville Sun printed March 18, 2001,
Gainesville Rocks).
Will add more musician info to bands as my memory takes me back to 1959 and back to the present, if I can still find it.
Thanks for the site!

What the hell was I doing in chicago?
Well, I'm very glad you asked...
I in chicogo to visit Tom Miller , and to hang out with
Vini and the Demons .
I recorded an album with Tom Miller, which is as of yet untitled.
well, actually it's titled, but the title is so horrible that it's being changed.
i saw lots of blues artists, played solo at an open mic, and generally just hung out, drinking whiskey and beer, and trying to avoid vini's asshole dog.
Then I went to Arizona, where I played out with Angela DiPaolo, and Crystal, former members of The Chairs. It's all been recorded on this minidisc thing I bought in chicago. I think this new toy will bring me much joy. I also recorded myself in chicago in the subways, and screaming philosophical alpha-male-style arguments with drunken irishmen.
It was a good vacation.Images and audio will be added here as I get them together.

I've got a Solo album out. It's produced by the ever-productive Jason Arnold . Woot!
It's got international distribution, which I think sounds more impressive than it is, as it's a consignment sorta deal. Not like I'm getting paid, unless it sells.
I can't remember the name of the label that's distributing it. It's a good one, I'm told.
Man, am I clueless or what? Jason did all the real work; I just provided the scronking. It's got stuff I recorded in the subways in chicago, and a 30-minute duet with the amazing Koven Smith , who currently lives in Indiana.
I just think I can't deal with the idea of people liking my music, since I really do it solely for my own satisfaction. And I'm too accustomed to people telling me to shut the hell up.
More details to be provided soon. Probably by Jason, as he's the promotional genious.

I GOT MY TENOR!!
Man, I finally got the Tenor Sax of my dreams.
a 1947 Conn 10M, serial #324979 . It sounds HUGE!
And it sounds best with my $20 Claude Lakey Mouthpiece, instead of the $150 otto link.
Now I just need to find a good ROCK BAND to play it with. Any takers?
OK, no one cares about saz gear except other sax players. But I don't care. I'm just so damned happy about this.
Jason Arnold bought my old tenor, a very respectable 1973 Buffet Super Dynaction.
Pictures will be provided shortly.

My group, Cashmere Jungle Lords, did a gig with Grit Kisser in Baltimore, MD about five years back. I've been trying to reach Eldorado, Premier or Bari Schmoove. We had a hell of a time and I cherish the Grit Kisser record with the fishing lure art on it. Wanted to do some smallmouth fishing sometime.

June is my last month in Gainesville
In July, I'll be hitting the road and making my way to Brooklyn, where I'll join Jorge Navarro in the latest version of Hialeah Jorge.
I'm excited, nervous, scared, thrilled, etc etc etc...
I can't believe that after 23 years in this town I'm finally leaving. I figure I'm past due for breakin' these chains. For new, shiny chains!
I'll be keeping this page updated with my adventures, so stay tuned.
Hi Don! I can't believe you're leaving either. Will miss you. Will keep checking this site for the mis-adventures of Hialeah Jorge. You've got my e-mail address so keep in touch!
Don't let those chains get a hold on you. Keep them loose - or tight - depending on the costume of choice!!
All the famous folk come from Brooklyn, you know, so you're headed for the right spot!!!
Peace out!

Hey Undeen,
Good luck in NY. Break a leg, and try not to get your legs broken. Don't wear a ball cap backwards. Don't look people directly in the eye until you acquire "the stare" (about six months in.) Then, look everybody in the eye. When you use the word "fuck", put some back into it. Nobody likes a weak fuck in NY. Good advice from...
-- Tom Miller
Hey Undeen -- did you make it to Brooklyn yet?
don
don@undeen.com
Jul 24, 2003
Yes I'm in Brooklyn now.
from my roof, man, my roof,
you can see the whole manhattan skyline at night
it's like millions of stars, and each point of light is a window into someone's world.
and the weather is perfect, there's a cool breeze
and the sky is clear.
I know a guy named Don who was gonna fill us in on his transition to Brooklyn, post some thoughts, post some pictures of the view from the roof on a perfect night when there's a cool breeze .......a night when you can see the whole manhattan skyline with millions of stars, each point of light is a window into someone's world........anybody seen him lately?
Don! How ya doin' in Brooklyn? Haven't heard from you lately. Too many Mounds or Almond Joys to drop a note? Have you developed the "stare"? Remember, nobody likes a weak fuck in new york!!
Peace out. . .
undeen blows. every band he's been in sucked. His "solo Album" is one of the worst pieces of shite I ever heard.
Hey Sheroot77.....where did you learn to spell? When is YOUR solo album going to be released? Undeen does blow -- some pretty awesome tunes. Jealousy is a green eyed monster.
Hey you! Howya doing? Have you developed that stare and the strong fuck yet? Your Florida public wants to know. We miss ya.

Hey Don, Do ya think that you have enouch crotch shots of me posted on the Chairs page? Damn, Baby! Were we EVER sober? I miss you and your horn. Love the field of flowers shot of you! That's how I always picture you.
Don, you've always had a strong fuck.... with a little whiny bite to it. I think that I've told you, however, I will tell again that this site is wonderful. You've really done quite a job of it. I Love You. Crystal Dawn Bryant
